  5. The kitchens have no equipment. The knifes are old and blunt, there are no wine or champagne glasses, there were 4 tea cups, not enough plates, tiny fry pans that couldn't be used to cook for a large party. This is not expected in a luxury property.

  2. About 300m from the house is an abattoir that runs through the night and morning. All through the night we could hear blood curdling screams from animals being slaughtered. We also had a lot of young children in our party and they were terrified by the sounds, particularly since they couldn't sleep due to the heat of the rooms.

  6. The property is 4km down an unpaved road, and there isn't much in the area, so you have to cook in the poor, stinking hot kitchen or drive an hour to the coast to eat.

  1. The house has no air conditioning and it has a tile roof. Half of the rooms are on the top floor under the stone roof and they are incredibly hot with very little ventilation. Sleeping at night is nearly impossible and half of our party ended up moving their mattresses out of the bedrooms and into the living room to try to sleep.

  4. The farm land surrounding the house is ugly and there is a very ugly wire fence surrounding the property separating it from the farmland making us feel like we were in some sort of compound.

  3. There are two small fridges. They hold enough food for 8-10 people, but definitely not 18 people.
